WORKSHOP HELP

Helping you answer questions and prepare for your graffiti art workshop

Booking a Workshop

  • How do I check availability?

You can check availablity online at any point by clicking here>  Online Calander

Please note our Online Calender is 'live' which  means it availblity can change at anytime.

  • How long before my event should I book my workshop?

We would always recommend booking as early as possible especially if you have a specific date for your event as we have a limited amount of graffiti workshop artists.

Typically most events book us 3-4 months before their event.

  • How much do your workshops cost?

Our workshops can be booked as a Half day or a Full day.

    • Half day workshops gives you up to 3 hours with the artist.
    • A Full Day gives you up to 6 hours with our artist- this does include a lunch break.

The time can be split between several classes or used with one group. How you use the time is up to you, however we do however advise checking with us if you are unsure.

  • Are the prices for the materials included?

Our Graffiti Workshops require disposable materials such spray paint, masks, boards, t-shirts, materials.

The prices for these will be based on your booking options and normally depends on how many people are taking part or if using a wall, the size of the wall.

All these options can be seen in our GS Store or discussed when contacting us.

  • Can I book multiple days?

Yes. Many of our client book us for 2 or more days depending on their requirements. You may need us to complete a large wall, or to see the whole school or even have events at different locations throughout the year. The days you book can be consecutive or over several months.

  • Why does your website show one price, but my quote is different?

Each workshop quote we create is custom to the client. Many of our clients have different requirements such as how many people are taking part, the materials they need, duration, event locations etc...so it is impossible to give a flat rate price.

Our prices shown on our website for ‘Workshops for 7-11s’ and ‘Workshops for 11s-19’ are a base price.

Once we have your requirements for your event you’ll receive a quote which will include everything you need to run the workshop with no hidden charges.

Preparing for a Workshop

  • How long are the workshops?

We have two workshop lengths you can book

    • Half Day Workshops

A Half Day gives you three consecutive hours with our artist and up to 15 minutes for a break during your time.

This can be kept as one long session or split into  4 short sessions. This will depend on the number of particpants.

    • Full Day Workshops

A Full Day gives you 6  consecutive hours with our artist which must include at least a 45 minute break with our artist.

This can be kept as one long session or split into 6 shorter sessions. This will depend on numbers of particpants.

  • How many people can take part in a workshop?

All our workshops are tailored to suit your needs but typically, we can work with up to 30 people per session/lesson per artist.

Depending on whether you book a half day or full day you can have several sessions/lessons within that time.

We usually say no more than 90 participants in a half day and 120 participants in a full day for one artist.

Please note that if you choose to have a wall graffitied, you may be required to book an ‘Artist Assistant’ if you have over 60 children in one day.

  • What should participants wear?

We recommend participants wear old clothes and footwear suitable for an art/ graffiti activity and the weather.

Graffiti Stars holds no responsibility if participants get paint on themselves, so please make sure all participants are aware of what to wear before the day.

  • Are Your Artists DBS Checked

Yes. All Graffiti Stars Workshop & Party artists are DBS checked and typically carry their documents with them to the event.

    International  Artists

If your artist is not a British citizen, they can not apply for a UK DBS check if they have not lived in the UK for 5+ years. In this scenario DBS/police checks are made in the artist's home country. The artist typically takes this to events.

Our office can also send copy of the artists documents ahead of the event.

  • How safe are the activities?

Health & Safety is our our number one priority, so we take every precaution to make sure that participants are safe during our workshops  all our activities are risk assessed.

    Important!!

As part of our Safeguarding policy and practices, we require our artists to have a member of staff or parent supporting the event. Our artists will run and structure the event but staff members are required to support our Health and Safety requirements as well as being a point of contact for the children throughout the event. Artists should not be required to be alone with children, young people or vulnerable adults despite having a DBS check.

  • How do I obtain your Risk Assessment?

You will need to contact us via email to obtain a password to download the Risk Assessment.
